Wellness is personal — shaped by each individual. Your body. Your needs. Your life.
At Green Theory, the core belief is that everyone deserves to explore their health with care, intention and dignity.
In a neighborhood built on relationships, small businesses often become something more than places to shop; they become familiar faces, trusted resources and part of the fabric of daily life. That was the vision behind Green Theory.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Caroline and Jonathan Crandall, Green Theory opened its doors in the Palisades in April of 2024 with a simple goal: to create a welcoming, professional space where District residents could learn about and access medical cannabis in a comfortable environment.
As Ward 3’s first medical cannabis dispensary, Green Theory has introduced many residents to a system they may have been curious about but unsure how to navigate. For some, that means exploring options for sleep. For others, it means seeking support for stress, pain or overall wellness.
Every customer arrives with a different story, and the Green Theory team believes every conversation deserves time, attention and respect. The approach is dedicated to true choice, built around genuine expertise and a commitment to personal empowerment.
Unlike large chains, Green Theory remains a family-owned and locally operated business. The owners work in the store alongside their team, getting to know customers by name and building relationships that extend far beyond a single transaction. This commitment to connection extends throughout the community.
Since opening, Green Theory has partnered with local organizations, participated in neighborhood events, supported community initiatives and worked to be a positive addition to the Palisades business district. The philosophy remains clear: being a good neighbor is just as important as being a good business.
Quality is just as important. Green Theory offers a thoughtfully curated menu, carefully selecting products from licensed cultivators and manufacturers throughout the District to prioritize consistency, safety and patient education. Rather than focusing on sales, the team focuses on helping customers understand their options and make informed decisions based on their individual needs. The result is an experience that feels less like retail and more like a supportive conversation.
As the medical cannabis industry continues to evolve, success is not measured solely by growth. It is measured by the trust built with neighbors and the role played in strengthening the community.
