Timely along with AQMD's "Right to Breathe Campaign" and consumer electronics/ tech in the home or or now in school.  Students can use their parent's smart phone while at the park or in class using the classroom ipad/hand held device to see what is circulating in the air and impacting human lungs.  They can link the news, their studies, and their own observations through working on science teams.

In an aerosol data campaign, they will utilize NASA Langely GLOBE STEM activities.

They will upload observation data to the satellites to study air quality measurements for healthy air or air full of natural and manmade particles.  The South Coast AQMD is working hard to protect AQ and inform the public while the Long Beach Port just released its CAPP plan…cities and industry working with the public sector and agencies to clean up toxins in and off land.

This month children at Kids First of So Cal can expect to be lost in space if not lost in spaces they have never conceived of before because of GLOBE.gov's  aerosol campaign and because California is a great place to think about how to live together gracefully and waste less of our important vital and shared resources. It is also a way students from 120 countries are sharing their findings through partnerships to understand forces in Earth Science today.

Announcing Spring and Summer work with Cloud Study, the colors of the sky, the sunsets when natural aerosols are spouted by volcanoes or pushed into the air via fires, factories, or emissions in order to try out making measurements, learning vocabulary, building comprehension or be healthier, children will use technology in handhold equipment, virtual classrooms, online data collection that will lead to future success in academics and building new stacks of words while having fun.

On Hilo, Kilauhea is spouting and videos are already posted to look at Pele in her full force or understand how islands rose from beneath the ocean and became home to animal, birds, fish and man using apps or videos on youtube to see, capture, and use math and camera footage, satellites and GLOBE storybooks and hand outs to explore team work, group and solo learning, science terms, concepts of force, heat, lift, pollution, gas, solid, liquid, earth and matter.

May is a great time of year to make volcanoe's, but this year the lava tunnels and magma, gases and spouts are forcing people to evacuate and learn about VOG, future safety and common sense in spills, or wildfires, and basic chemistry that is part of the water cycle, geography, topography, and urban design.

Kids First of So Cal children are continuing with "The World Around Me" by sending their citizen science findings to GLOBE.  They will be posted on the JPL/UCAR sites in preparation for more fun this summer with English, Math, and IT exploring Science through Stories and "Anything's Possible!" used in Northern Ireland in the younger grades to spur understanding and interest the Sciences in children anchoring important constructs Earth Science with academic and hands on experimentation that leads to research, writing, and accomplishment. It makes the common core standards understandable and vocabulary building a cinch.
