An Upside Down World

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In response to all the fear and anxiety everyone is feeling in today's locked-down world, a series of songs and quotes to feel better can help.

Some of the tips in these songs include:

             - Think about the good times so you feel better

              - Let your imagination run free so you can imagine a new and better world

               - Find new ways to communicate through social distancing

               - Enjoy virtual games -- and create your own

                - Use mindfulness techniques to feel calm

                - Reach out through technology to feel more connected to others in your life

                - Find strength in looking to the future and more.

The eight songs in the series which are on YouTube at the indicated links include:

            "Remember the Good Times https://youtu.be/ASPwZDTKiQ4,"

"Don't Let Today Get You Down https://youtu.be/hrMxTxnLmwQ,"

"You Can Get Through the Hard Times https://youtu.be/BpPR2XCSbVo ,"

"Fighting Against the Corona Virus  https://youtu.be/LMZtxgMBdEM."

They are featured in the illustrated Feel Good Song Book and Feeling Better Song Book.

Some of the quotes from famous people include these:

"America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand."  Harry S Truman, 33rd President of the United States.

"We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot." Eleanor Roosevelt, former First Lady of the United States.

"Great crisis produce great men and great deeds of courage." John F Kennedy, 35th President of the United States.

"Write down everything you fear in life. Burn it. Pour herbal oil with a sweet scent on the ashes."  Yoko Ono, Japanese multimedia artist, singer, and songwriter.

The quotes are in the illustrated book Over 100 Ways to Understand and Deal with Your Fear and Anxiety.

The songs and quotes are part of a series of projects that Bay Area author Gini Graham Scott has been developing to help people feel better as they face the many challenges of today.  She has previously publisher over 200 books and written and produced 10 feature films, documentaries, and TV series, most recently the documentary Rescue Me!, on the many organizations devoted to rescuing dogs, cats, and birds.
