Finsbury Glover Hering managing director Andrew Johnson moves to private equity firm GTCR, where he takes on the newly created position of principal and chief of marketing and communications.

Johnson had been with FGH since 2017, serving as vice president and director before becoming managing director in April 2020.

He was previously director of public relations at legal firm Kirkland & Ellis and a vice president at Abernathy MacGregor.

At GTCR, Johnson will lead the strategic development and execution of all marketing and communications activities for the firm. He will also work on initiatives including ESG-DEI, community engagement, digital/social media and hiring and recruiting.

"The development of this new role demonstrates our commitment to thoughtful engagement with stakeholders relative to GTCR and its portfolio companies,” said GTRG managing director and co-CEO Collin Roche. “Andrew will also serve as an excellent resource for our portfolio company CEOs and management teams regarding communications considerations.”
