Elinor Robin, PhD – Mediator and Mediation Trainerhttps://elinorrobin.combringing you strategic relationship and conflict interventionsSat, 07 Oct 2017 18:56:40 +0000en-UShourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.4.1- Welcome to my website!https://elinorrobin.com/welcome/https://elinorrobin.com/welcome/#respondFri, 06 Oct 2017 06:00:42 +0000http://elinorrobin.com/?p=320My mission is to carry the message that there is a better way to look at, and respond to, conflict. During the past 28 years, I have successfully mediated thousands of disputes and developed expertise in resolving personal and professional relationship conflicts. Today, my goal is to provide strategic conflict management and creative relationship interventions in the workplace, to couples and families, and to communities.
Much of my current mediation practice centers on my work with David Spofford and the network of Florida Mediators we bring together at A Friendly Divorce. In addition to mediation, at A Friendly Divorce, we provide document preparation services so that the couples we work with can have a one-stop experience that ends with an uncontested divorce. Additionally, David and I created a training program for professionals who want to launch or expand their practices to include pro-se/pre-suit divorce mediation. This program is presented via streaming video through Mediate.com. Click or cut and paste this link http://www.mediate.com/university/pg29.cfm into your browser to learn more. As a Primary Trainer with Mediation Training Group, I have taught mediation nationally and internationally to over 13,000 professionals. Please consider Mediation Training Group’s offerings if you want to become a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, acquire mediation skills to enhance your professional or personal life, or experience Continuing Mediator Education that is both entertaining and rich in content. Check out the website to learn more about the projects Susan Dubow and I are working on so that we can help bring mediation into the mainstream. Is Israel on your bucket list? If so, contact me about my annual “Conflicts and Conversations Exploration.” This 8-day adventure is open to anyone who wants to explore complex contemporary issues (as well as see the historical sights) from an interfaith/no-faith perspective. (Continuing education credit for mediators, lawyers, and mental health professionals is provided.) My book “The Professional Woman’s Guide To Conflict Management” is available on Amazon or through the publisher. Ultimately, I am focused on helping people improve their relationships with formal and informal mediation that results in strategic interventions in form of workplace action plans, business partnership accords, dating contracts, prenuptial agreements, mediated divorces, and marriage pacts. And I am intrigued with dialogue focused on aging in community, legacy, and the 3rd-third of life. Please accept this invitation to expand the conversation – email me your questions and comments. - Conflict Consciousnesshttps://elinorrobin.com/conflict-consciousness/https://elinorrobin.com/conflict-consciousness/#respondTue, 09 Aug 2016 04:24:26 +0000http://elinorrobin.com/?p=380What is conflict consciousness? Our conflicts – both the internal and the external – are our best teachers. Few of us grow, change, or learn in the absence of conflict. Conflict Consciousness is the process of looking at your conflicts in order to see – for yourself – where you are as well as where you could be. We are in the consciousness age and our conflicts are critical components – on personal, tribal, and global levels. Every conflict has a lesson to teach – about you individually or society as a whole. Now is the time for you to become more conflict conscious so you can grasp the lesson and incorporate it in your life. Stay tuned. More will be revealed.]]>https://elinorrobin.com/conflict-consciousness/feed/0

(We were there the same time as Conan O’Brien but sadly, we did not run into him or the film crew.) You can read what I had to say about Cuba in three blog posts – Cuba: My State of Conflict, What Americans Need To Know About Cuban History, and Ricky Ricardo Doesnt Live Here Anymore. This was a once in a lifetime trip for David and I. While it was definitely worth our time and money I don’t see us doing Cuba again. Epilogue – Six months after our trip I received an email from our Guide telling me he had defected and was now living in California. I can understand why he made that choice. ]]>https://elinorrobin.com/cubatrip/feed/0 - Out-earners: When the Wife is the Bigger Bread-winnerhttps://elinorrobin.com/out-earners-when-the-wife-is-the-bigger-bread-winner/https://elinorrobin.com/out-earners-when-the-wife-is-the-bigger-bread-winner/#respondSat, 12 May 2012 14:36:19 +0000http://elinorrobin.com/?p=526
