Encore Network

For more than a decade, The Encore Network has been advocating for and building partnerships among organizations and individuals who champion the civic, social, and economic contributions of people 50-plus.

Dr. Dorian Mintzer of Boston, MA, has been named to the 2022 Class of Encore Network Champions, an august list of 35 people who reflect those values.

The 2022 Class of Encore Network Champions also includes a Chilean social entrepreneur, the leader of an urban farming organization, and a Midwestern foundation executive who leads more than 14 encore programs. Some additional nominees are thought leaders in the field, including Marc Freedman, founder of Encore.org; Ken Dychtwald, gerontologist and author; and Rich Eisenberg, former managing editor of Next Avenue. The Champions work in diverse communities from Seoul, South Korea, to Denver, Colorado, to Conway, South Carolina.

All of the nominees share one thing: a commitment to ensuring that older adults are fully engaged and appreciated in all aspects of our society, including work, leadership, and community.

Brief profiles of each member of the 2021 and 2022 Encore Network Champion classes may be found at https://encorenetwork.org/champion/.
