This is the year to join the new So Cal Dickens in Orange Count at the Winter Fest   celebration in Orange County! (WinterFest OC 2018)

So many things to do! This year you'll walk through the winter wonderland AND head on to Fezziwig's to caper or jig. Discover the newly built Orange County Dickens' Village for your participation and surprise. Create a costume, a character, and get your jolly on while buying gifts and entertaining children. A perfect answer to a weekend or evening of local fun!

What it's about local and accessible holiday fun:

Whether you buy gifts or find your inner thespian, you'll have a good time, meet famous period characters and step into an historic recreation of Queen Victoria's world and Charles Dickens literary entourage.

You can bring all your friends in costume or street clothes.  You can laugh, sing, waltz, polka, munch, and so much more.

You can wear your costume or rent one and join in the festivities. Carpool or drive and bring family and friends.  You can dance at Fezziwig's and buy presents, drinks or hot cider. Make this an annual event and a must for cheering up the winter season!

Exploring an era gone by:

Get a sense of what you might wear by seeing the Briton Ensemble in Altadena, fresh from their No Cal tour, this weekend at the top of Lake Street.

You can shop for vintage rags on Lake Street and sing along at the end of the day with historic carols and new ditties all the while discussing what you will wear next week in Costa Mesa.

Create a character while you gather your guests, children and friends for your jaunt down to the Costa Mesa site. See old friends and wear the old.  Buy "new vintage

or something newly invented, unique and artisan and lift your heart, your shins or your child to see the Queen.

Shop for Special Items:

Special gifts for the picking…For example, you could pick something up that is both unique and beautiful at vendor booths such as Off Kilter Kilts (now online and in Santa Clarita) who has designated that a part of their proceeds will go to help United Way of Greater LA help the wildfire victims.

Get your tickets for admission to the whole show: the Snow Summit and Dickens OC held at in Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA 92626 with the Group on coupon below.

"This weave code means that the threads begin with 8 threads of yellow, followed by 2 threads of black, 20 threads of green, 4 threads of scarlet, 20 threads of green, 8 threads of scarlet, 20 threads of green, 4 threads of scarlet, 20 threads of green, 32 threads of black, 56 threads of azure, 2 threads of black, and 8 threads of sky blue. At that point the weave pivots and returns, beginning with 2 threads of black, and continuing the sequence in reverse order through 8 threads of yellow, at which point it pivots back again."
