Think Rubix, a minority-owned social impact firm based in D.C., acquired 3i Creative Communications, a marketing and design agency based in Memphis. 3i Creative Communications founder and President Kenneth Worles, Jr., right in photo, “is a formidable entrepreneur and marketing executive. His creative genius has been an integral part of TR’s story since its inception (and) we are proud to cement our work together for the betterment of our clients and partners, and in service to our team and our communities.” said Tristan Wilkerson, left in photo, founding principal of Think Rubix. With the acquisition, Think Rubix becomes Think Rubix & Co., and 3i becomes a TR & Co. subsidiary. According to a release, “This acquisition brings decades of experience together, including new leadership at TR & Co. 3i. Founder and President, Kenneth Worles Jr,  (based in Memphis) will join TR & Co. as a Principal, continuing to guide direction for the company and clients. And as part of TR & Co.’s growing commitment to storytelling, 3i’s Marketing Strategist, Kate Lollar (also based in Memphis) will join TR & Co. as Director of Marketing and Communications.”

Glen Echo Group opened an office in Amsterdam led by Colin Bortner. The former Director of Global Public Policy for Europe, Middle East and Africa for Netflix, Bortner, states the agency, spearheaded Netflix’s public affairs engagements throughout the company’s international expansions, founded a groundbreaking San Francisco-based biotechnology startup, and worked on and off Capitol Hill shaping US technology policy. So he’s been busy. This expansion to Europe, states the agency, “allows us to keep doing what Glen Echo Group does best—combining our technology policy expertise with communications, coalition-building, content and events into highly creative and compelling campaigns for clients across the New Economy, Fortune 500 and the smallest of start-ups alike.”

Rasky Partners added Matthew McNally as a Senior Vice President in the firm’s D.C. office. A release states that McNally comes to Rasky directly from “a central role in one of the hardest-fought congressional midterm elections in decades. He has held positions at the highest levels of Democratic politics, having served as a political and communications strategist on high-profile campaigns and having served members of both the House and Senate leadership.”  McNally most recently served as Chief of Staff for former Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, where he ran the Congressman’s caucus election to become DCCC chairman, continuing to serve as his chief during his tenure as chair.
