Seven Letter has been hired by the Embassy of Japan for media outreach and a digital advertising campaign to promote tourism and raise public awareness of the country’s health initiatives to counter the COVID-19 pandemic, reports O’Dwyer’s. Seven Letter’s contract with Japan began Aug 1 and runs through February and the agency receives a $40K monthly retainer, along with a $200K budget for four two-week digital ad campaigns, says O’Dwyer’s.

Addis Communications reports it has joined with the Pandemic Action Network, CDC Foundation and partners in support of World Mask Week, August 7-14, 2020. According to the agency, community masking “is critical to stop the spread of COVID-19. Until we have vaccines or medicines to fight COVID-19, mask wearing is one of the best tools we have ? particularly when paired with social distancing, handwashing, testing, and tracing.” Karen Addis, APR, agency president, told Capitol Communicator her agency is supporting World Mask Week by pushing out daily posts highlighting what people can do to stop the pandemic.

This weekend marks the 20th anniversary for Qorvis Communications. “I’m both thrilled and humbled that what started in a townhouse in Alexandria quickly turned in to a global communications agency and is now celebrating its 20th year in business,” said Michael Petruzzello, President of Qorvis Communications.
