The most significant debate of the primary season is coming to Georgetown’s own Capitol Campus. Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service (GU Politics) has partnered with FOX 5 DC for a live, one-hour televised debate at the McCourt School of Public Policy, 125 E St. NW, on Monday, May 18 at 7 PM. With the first open mayoral seat in 20 years on the line, this debate — moderated by FOX 5’s Jim Lokay and Katie Barlow alongside GU Politics Executive Director Mo Elleithee — is the highest-profile event of the cycle. Confirmed candidates include Gary Goodweather, Janeese Lewis George, and Kenyan McDuffie. Watch live on FOX 5 or stream free at politics.georgetown.edu and FOX Local. This is the second time GU Politics and FOX 5 have co-hosted a mayoral primary debate, following their partnership in 2022.
