Accountability is a word thrown around (a lot), deemed important (it is), and yet seen as negative (by many). And while it is sometimes misunderstood, it is highly desired on teams and for individuals. Would you like to unravel the mysteries of creating greater accountability? Would you like to reap the benefits for yourself and the team when greater accountability exists?

If you would like to better understand what accountability is, learn how to lead in a positive and effective way using it, and help others choose to be accountable, you are not alone. This idea, this challenge is underneath about 20% of all requests and questions I get from leaders around the world.

I hear questions like these every day:

  • How do I get people to take ownership?
  • How do I build empowerment?
  • How do I reduce the blame and bickering in the organization?
  • How do I get people to step up and take responsibility?

Notice that none of these questions use the word accountability, yet all of them are about that illusive word.

Would you like to have answers to these questions, whether you are the positional leader or not?

Would you like to ultimately have a culture where accountability is practiced and expected?

The Solution

I’ve been selected by LinkedIn Learning to be part of a small, select pilot group of instructors to use the LinkedIn Live platform as an intentional learning platform. I will be leading a live, ticketed (for a nominal fee) event on LinkedIn Live Tuesday, December 14, from 1:00-2:30 pm ET, titled Creating Greater Accountability With Others. This isn’t just another webinar. And it isn’t another LinkedIn Live where you passively listen to a speaker. This will be a new way to learn, as we explore, unravel, and develop our ability to be more accountable and create greater accountability with others. While this will have a leadership flavor, this learning experience is meant for anyone who wants greater accountability in their working life.

Want to be more accountable? Want to equip yourself for a more successful future? Want to reduce the frustrations of “that’s not my job”, blame and finger pointing? Interested in being part of a pilot of a new way to learn? Then I hope you will join me for this impactful and inspirational 90 minutes. We will learn together while you take away practical next steps for building greater accountability for yourself and others.

All the details and access to registration can be found here. I look forward to sharing these ideas with you and helping you find greater accountability personally and with others.
