Ottawa, ON (April 23, 2010) – CanMediate International Inc. hosted its popular, interactive session Discover Your RQ™: Your "Relationship and Resolution Quotient™" to a near standing room crowd at the Country Inn & Suites in Kanata on Monday. This event was put on as a charity fundraiser to support the United Way Ottawa. The team at CanMediate International Inc. raised $450.00 dollars while giving members of the general public an opportunity to learn about different conflict resolution techniques. Jennifer Keay, Manager, Community Campaign for the United Way Ottawa, said "We are delighted to team up once again with CanMediate International Inc. They recognize the importance of getting involved and contributing even as a small business, to build a stronger, safer and healthier community for all."

Getting involved in the community is not a new concept for Ruth Sirman, President of CanMediate International Inc. "We have provided support for numerous charities over the years. It's a great feeling to know our donations have helped those in our community who are less fortunate. With this kind of support, we look forward to hosting similar events in the future."

The focus of the Discover Your RQ™ course is to explore how individuals respond to conflict situations, where their behaviour comes from, and whether it contributes or detracts from their success. This newfound understanding enables a person to comprehend and adapt their response to any given situation, whether in the workplace or at home. The Discover Your RQ™ program is the first of five modules that are a part of the Power To Resolve™ Certificate Program.

CanMediate International Inc. would like to thank the Country Inn & Suites for partnering with them on this event. By providing the meeting room and facilities free of charge, CanMediate International Inc. was able to waive the tuition fee and provide all proceeds to support the United Way Ottawa.
