Save the date: the Citizens Association of Georgetown will held its fall fundraiser celebrating The Georgetowner’s 70th anniversary on Friday, Sept. 20 — at Coolidge House at Quality Hill — 3425 Prospect St. NW.

Founded in October 1954, The Georgetowner Newspaper continues to tell the stories of Washington, D.C.’s oldest neighborhood and beyond. It has also expanded with a robust online presence — along with special events and its popular Cultural Leadership Breakfasts, now in its 10th year. The Georgetowner’s Nov. 8, 2023, cover story featured the Coolidge Foundation and the centenary of the 30th president.

The Citizens Association of Georgetown is a non-profit civic organization representing the interests of Georgetown residents. CAG’s programs, education and historic preservation make Georgetown safer, more beautiful and more connected. Through ongoing support from volunteer members and generous donors, CAG’s initiatives allow Georgetown to evolve and flourish by ensuring the integrity of its historical legacy and overall vitality.

The Coolidge Foundation — headquartered in Plymouth Notch, Vermont and dedicated to President Calvin Coolidge — expanded to Georgetown with its 2018 purchase of the historic Quality Hill house on Prospect Street, formerly the longtime home to Sen. Claiborne Pell of Rhode Island.

See you in September.
