Celebrate Colorado's Amazing Aspiring Authors!

The Colorado Authors Hall of Fame is honored to announce the selection and awarding of the Aspiring Authors Scholarships that have been funded by authors in Colorado, generous donors, and the support of Barnes & Noble.

Earlier this year, many dozens of Colorado's unpublished aspiring authors submitted Essays and Samples of their writing for consideration to a panel of nine judges. Their goal was to be selected for one of the Aspiring Authors Scholarships created by the Colorado Authors Hall of Fame, valued from $12,000 to $17,000.

After an extensive evaluation process, fourteen men and women ranging from 26 to 76 rose to the top. They will be honored at the September 11, 2026, Colorado Aspiring Authors Day Luncheon. The Denver Inverness Golf and Resort, located in the Denver Tech Center, will be the site. The public is invited.

The 2026 full Scholarship Winners to be honored are: Mallory Decker, Emma Needell, Molly Heines, Tiffany Neislanik, and Sam Rosewilde.

The three runners-up to be honored include: Erin Jones, Jim Roome, and Stacey Naughton.

The six Finalists to be honored include: Lucas Cunnington, Susan Loriho, Emily Richardson, Terry Schultz,  Farrah Yeganeh, and Zachary Walker.

The event is partially tax-deductible. Details and Reservations are on the Colorado Authors Hall of Fame website: https://ColoradoAuthorsHallofFame.org

Sponsored by the Colorado Authors Hall of Fame, the first round of scholarships was delivered in 2022. Seven of the winners have now published, with two more within the next six months.

The Colorado Authors Hall of Fame and the Aspiring Authors Scholarships are all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Its mission is "to honor and promote the works of outstanding published authors from all genres and generations with a vibrant connection to Colorado, to ensure their legacies will not be lost."
