This week I read a great quote by John Maxwell.

“People may hear your words, but they feel your attitude.”

It made me pause to consider just how important your congruity is. If you feel one way but say something that isn’t in sync with those feelings, I think two things happen:

  1. The receiver will most likely see through you.
  2. Your incongruity can create internal stress in you.

This is my way of expressing how important it is that you are clear with yourself about how you feel, and use that to communicate what is true.

In the end, it makes it all easier.
