Are you an influencer?

Merriam-Webster defines influencer as: "one who exerts influence: a person who inspires or guides the actions of others"

If there was a test – would you qualify?

Well, now there is a test
– and if you qualify you may be able to earn
– free of charge:

1) A "Verified Influencer" Badge -- you can share on your website. Your Verified Influencer badge ensures visitors know it is you, and by color shows your verification level. Similar to the verification badges at Twitter.

2) Press room at ExpertClick.com – or upgrade if you already have one. Your Press Room is the key to having your photos, text & social media presented in a standard fashion so visitors can quickly scan and know they've got full info. The news media loves the service: ** The New York Times called it: "Dial-an-Expert" ** PR Week called it "Dating Service of PR" ** USA Today called up a "Hot Site"

3) Curator status at ExpertClick – you'll be able to offer free invitations in the expertise section you moderate, subject to availability (As curator you can earn commission and ongoing royalty for those who you invited to be listed, if they upgrade.) – See how Peggy Sands is the Curator on "Immigration" here:  https://www.expertclick.com/experts/Immigration.aspx

Whoa, slow down – what is all of this?

How did this all get started?

– and why is this free?

Ok, let's to the Who, What, When, Where, Why, How.

Who?  Mitchell P. Davis is the "Who" Graduate of the Georgetown University B-School, and winner of Georgetown University Bunn Award for Journalistic Excellence…

What?  The expert referral database is the ExpertClick.com website.  Based on the printed Yearbook of Experts, Authorities & Spokespersons, accepts bona-fide experts for news media access.  The New York Times called it: "Dial-an-Expert"

When?  Published annually in January, The Yearbook of Experts has been requested by tens of thousands of journalists. Experts may join at any time of the year -- with free ExpertClick membership for those who qualify for editorial mention, and upgraded accounts offered: Monthly, Annually or Lifetime. The first edition, The Talk Show Guest Directory, was published in 1984.

Where?  Access to the experts is now primarily via the ExpertClick website and downloadable PDF, but the printed Yearbook continues to be available free of charge to bona-fide journalists.

Why?  Journalists rely on ExpertClick.com and The Yearbook of Experts, for they know we've: 1) Screened the listed experts for validity on their expertise , 2) The experts welcome media interview & 3) Contact info is up to date.

How?  The resource is provided free of charge to the news media, and includes editorial – free – review of many experts, supported three ways:  1)  Some members buy advertising and ranking. 2)  We run Google ads on the site for revenue, and 3) we are paid royalty fees by Lexis for member biographies and news releases.

So let's get to it – Do you Qualify?
