Since my divorce a few years back, I have been embarking on a journey of self-discovery and self-love in order to understand what it is that I truly desire in a relationship. Through trials, errors, and heartbreak, I am no longer interested in the conventional marriage or the traditional romantic love.  Instead, I want to experience the ultimate true love, the love that is sacred and spiritually fulfilling, the love that needs no bargaining, no sacrificing, and no compromising, the love that is unconditional, without expectations and without validation from others, the love that surrenders the ego, the love that feels like coming home, the love that brings out my higher self, the love that gives me freedom to experience all of life and grow along with me, the love that is of deep friendship and romantic bliss, the love that is pure and soul-awakening, the love that connects me with God, and the love that is rich in emotions so rare that only the heart can feel where others may think you have gone mad. More on this journey of soul-awakening and fulfilling love in later posts when I am ready to share.

When Love comes suddenly and taps
on your window, run and let it in,
but first shut the door of your reason,
even the smallest hint chases love away,
like smoke that drowns the freshness
of the morning breeze.
To reason, Love can only say
the way is barred, you can’t pass through,
but to the lover it offers a hundred blessings.
Before the mind decides to take a step,
Love has reached the seventh heaven.
Love has climbed the Holy Mountain.
