Episode 674 – Keywords In Your Face
[00:00:08] Welcome to Screw the Commute. The entrepreneurial podcast dedicated to getting you out of the car and into the money, with your host, lifelong entrepreneur and multimillionaire, Tom Antion.

[00:00:24] Hey everybody, is Tom here with episode 674 Screw the Commute Podcast. Today, we're going to talk about keywords in your face and those of you that have been listening for a while, know how the lack of keyword research is the number one mistake I see people making online. Episode one of this entire podcast was about it. I updated it in episode 130 based on voice search. And I still know people have trouble getting started because it can be tedious and lots of work. So this episode's going to teach you how you can get massively started with your keyword research in about 15 seconds. How about that? And all of this stuff has been right in front of your face all along. All right. I hope you didn't miss episode 673. That was vertical video tips. I probably shot about 100 of those in the last two weeks. Remember, there are real short for TikTok. So. So there's a lot of tips, though, that help you do it right. Then I'll just throw a couple of other episodes at you. Episode 672 is my second week on TikTok. My Episode 669 was my first week and it's growing rapidly. And the next episode, this is not this is this coming Monday is 675 will be on the TikTok techniques I'm using. So far I've taken a lot of advanced courses on it and I got over 5000 views on a video that took me about 10 minutes to create on TikTok. So there you go. So we'll remember any time you want to get to a back episode, you go to screwthecommute.com, slash, and then the episode number. Today's 674 keywords in your face.

[00:02:11] Now let's get to the main event. There's three places you're going to grab keywords and keyword phrases from, and they're all on one page and you can see them and you do see them every single day that you search for something on Google. All I'm saying is that you take a minute or so and capture what Google is handing you on a silver platter and use it to your advantage to be found easier in search, to use it in blog titles and video titles and social media posts and all that stuff. Now I'm talking about three things that appear every time you do a search on Google. Number one is called Autofill. Number two is people also ask and number three is related searches. Let's start with autofill. See, Google is a speed demon. You start getting results displayed before you even finish typing your search term. Autofill is a dropdown box that tries to predict what you are looking for so you don't have to finish typing the search term. You can just click on one of the results that most closely resembles what you are actually looking for. And it also gives you things you probably didn't think of that you say, Oh, well, I like to see that too.

[00:03:32] Now, what I'm suggesting you do is to search for keywords related to what you do and then capture the autofill results. You can screen capture them or just write them down. They're a little hard to copy because the autofill box has a tendency to disappear on you when you move your mouse around. Now, with one exception, these results wouldn't be there unless a boatload of people were searching for those keywords and keyword phrases. So you always want to give people exactly what they're searching for, because Google likes when you do that and they're more likely to give you a high ranking. Now, the exception to this Autofill deal is that Google recognizes you and may customize the results in the autofill box based on things you have searched for in the past. But don't let that stop you from capturing all these words and phrases. The second area, as you scroll down past the sponsored ads and the organic search results is the people also ask section. This is a super area to pay attention to. You need to capture all the questions people are asking about the subject. If you use these exact same questions in an area of your website, like a frequently asked questions and you provide the answers, you have just increased your chances of showing up on the first page of Google exponentially. Now, if you use a geeky thing called snippets and I'm going to cover that in a future episode, you increase your chances of being seen on the first page even more.

[00:05:19] This is a way that you put the frequently ask questions on, but don't wait. Go ahead and do it now. Put those frequently ask questions on and you can improve on it later. The third place. Before I tell you, I want to thank everybody for the Patreon donations for our program to help persons with disabilities. And if you haven't contributed, please, please do. It's a great thing and it's is based on all this great content we're giving you. And we start as little as $3 a month to help fund this program for persons with disabilities. And they're really inspirational. They're doing great things. We're going to keep people off the welfare rolls and get them hired or in their own business. So go to screwthecommute.com/patreon and throw in whatever you can afford and there's lots of perks for doing it. Plus you get all these hundreds and hundreds of trainings for free. And if you if you like our trainings, you know, I'm sure you like our interviews too, but if you like all our trainings are on one page at. Screw the commuter com slash trainings and there's $1,000,000 worth of free training there. If I had to teach it to you one on one. All right. So anyway, back to search the third place or keywords. I mean the third place is near the bottom of the search results page, and it's called related searches.

[00:06:47] You can also turn these phrases into questions and use them on your website or use that same phraseology in blog, posting, social media postings, articles and the like. Now, if you've resisted my efforts to do proper keyword research, this method to get started should wipe all your lame excuses. Like I don't have time or it's too boring. Wipe them off the map. If you want success online, this is where you start. And if you've already started, you're probably got some cleanup to do and do this correctly, especially if you haven't got the results you were expecting. This is probably the reason you have to line up your stuff with what people are looking for. Not you get a harebrained idea what I call a CSI, a crappy stupid idea. And I'm not being mean. My ideas are crappy and stupid too, unless they match up with what people actually want. Because you can have this fantastic idea of the century and if nobody's looking for it, you're going to hear crickets chirping. So this is where you do it correctly. So go to Google, put put something in that you think is related to you and go through these three sections. Autofill People also ask and related searches and start using them in all the things you do online and you will see a marked increase in your success. All right. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Catch you on the next episode. See you later.
