100 tips to change your life and the world for the better.

The new book, 1Habit: 100 Habits from the Happiest Achievers on the Planet, gathers life tips from leading speakers, mentors, coaches and achievers in one great resource. The idea behind Steve Samblis’ 1Habit project was to offer one tip that a child could use to grow up to be a great achiever. Using multiple tips, you can change the world.

Here’s my contribution to the book, which is now available as a digital ebook from www.1Habit.com and in paperback on Amazon.com.

Always Embrace Your Uniqueness

Why: Your unique characteristics often emerge when you are a child. However, to fit in and feel like we belong in a group, we may suppress our colorful, creative, or “odd” aspects. When we grow up, if we’ve abandoned our unique characteristics, we may feel lost, frustrated, and meaningless.

Embracing your uniqueness in how you dress, act, and present your inspired insights, you can change the world for the better. Look at the impacts made by Elton John in music, Hunter Thompson in journalism, and Georgia O’Keefe in art. As the Smash Mouth song All Star goes, “Only shooting stars break the mold.”
