Since 1973, over 140 people have been exonerated and freed off of death row, 73 African Americans, 57 Whites, 12 Latino and 2 others. These amazing statistics where compiled by Death Penalty Information Center (D.P.I.C.) and confirmed in April of 2014 by the National Academy of Sciences. See related post, ?4% Sent To Death Row ?
