Santa Claus Tidal Wave Hits Washington DC

A surf-boarding Santa Claus rides a tidal wave smashing into the Obama White House and other Washington landmarks on an original Christmas card sent to congressional and other recipients by gun rights expert John Snyder.

"Americans are fed up with Obama and the big government mind-set he epitomizes," said Snyder, "and voters are expressing this at the polls. Waves of change are blasting the Washington elitist political establishment. The card illustrates this phenomenon."

"Gun owners especially have had it up to here with Obama's hypocrisy," Snyder added. "Obama's tried to have it both ways, claiming on one hand he supports the Second Amendment and on the other hand appointing gun rights opponents to high government positions. People like Andrew Traver as Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Eric Holder as Attorney General, and Sonia Sotomayor as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court are just a few who come readily to mind.

"His administration also is promoting international agreements in an effort to do an end run around the Second Amendment and undermine American gun rights. A proposed UN small arms control treaty and a proposed inter American arms convention would do just that."

Snyder said "the card's art work depicts what is happening on the political scene. Voters are throwing many extreme leftist politicians out of office as waves of change appear about to wash through the Nation's Capital."

The card depicts Santa wearing a holstered handgun. He stands on a surfboard with arms outstretched, riding a gigantic wave about to engulf the White House, the Capitol and the Washington Monument.

The message "waves of change approaching Washington" appears on the card, which wishes recipients a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

A former National Rifle Association editor, Snyder is Public Affairs Director of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Shotgun News has named him the senior rights advocate in Washington.

Snyder serves on the boards of the National Association of Chiefs of Police, the Second Amendment Foundation, and the American Federation of Police & Concerned Citizens.
