Armed Santa Surfboards to Washington DC
An armed, surf-boarding Santa Claus rides a tidal wave of change over Washington, D.C. landmarks on an original Christmas card sent to members of Congress and others by gun law expert John Snyder.

The message "waves of change approaching Washington" appears on the card, which wishes recipients a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

A former National Rifle Association editor, Snyder is Public Affairs Director of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Shotgun News has named him the senior rights advocate in Washington.

Snyder said "the art work depicts what is happening on the political scene. Voters are beginning to throw gun-grabbing, extreme left-wing politicians out of office as waves of change appear about to wash through the Nation's Capital. Hopefully the cleaning will continue and even be a prelude to a real scouring.

"As the mother of Christ, whose birthday we commemorate at Christmas, noted in another context, the Lord 'has cast down the mighty from their thrones and has lifted up the lowly (Luke 1: 52).'"

The card depicts Santa wearing a holstered handgun. He stands on a surfboard with arms outstretched, riding a gigantic wave which appears about to engulf the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and the Washington Monument.

A full image of the card is available on request.

Snyder serves on the boards of the National Association of Chiefs of Police, the Second Amendment Foundation, and the American Federation of Police & Concerned Citizens.
