Before the Pandemic, we created the Remarkable Retreat. An intimate, customized retreat for leaders desiring to take their leadership to new levels – and find more meaning in their work, too. In the new world of doing so many things virtually, we wondered if we could create a virtual leadership retreat. We’ve done that, and done it one better…
The word retreat conjures thoughts of getting away and it is hard to think about that word without including the idea of a place. If we were going to create a virtual leadership retreat, what would it look like?
We wanted it to include the intimacy and interaction, the chance to reflect and create a new perspective, but how could we do that when everyone was behind a screen?
This learning experience starts with what is best about a retreat and expands far beyond that thinking to create a learning experience beyond walls and a synchronous event. It is a peer learning process that begins with a series of virtual events (October 26-28, 11:30-3:00 pm ET), but further includes:
- A process with a learning/accountability partner
- Two Community coaching calls
- One personal coaching call with me
- A private Slack channel for the group and me
- Access to all sessions of our new Remarkable Development Sessions
Who is this virtual leadership “retreat” for?
- People with at least a couple years of leadership experience. Level of leadership matters less than having a context and basic set of experiences as a leader.
- People who want to move to their next level. Whether for personal competence and confidence growth, or to prepare for your next leadership role.
- People willing to share with the group. If you only want to learn in a passive way from an expert, this experience isn’t for you.
- People willing to practice peer learning. This is for those willing to learn from and with others – during and beyond the initial virtual sessions.
- People who want to learn with and from me. Yes, I will be leading the experience (there is more about the agenda here).
Whether you are looking for the next step in your growth as a leader or are looking for a development opportunity for specific leaders in your organization, this ongoing learning process might exactly what you need. It isn’t a retreat in the classic sense. Yet much of what you get from that fully engaging approach to learning will be gained from the Remarkable Leadership Learning Community. And it has an even better chance of creating the real change you would attend any retreat to find.
