I help growth-minded businesses align their technology and operations with their long-term strategy so they invest in the right tools, fix what's holding them back, and build a foundation for sustainable growth.

Let me help you turn business goals into actionable systems.

Most businesses buy tools without a clear plan. I take a different approach. I guide teams through a structured process:

  1. Define the strategic vision—where you want to be in 5 or 10 years.
  2. Translate that vision into concrete, ranked use cases tied to business value.
  3. Identify the operational and technical gaps holding you back.
  4. Recommend targeted solutions—only what's necessary now, with a roadmap for the future.

The result: no more wasted spend on tech you don't need, and no more missed opportunities due to operational blind spots. You get a practical, scalable plato grow your business with intention.

In the world of publishing, content, marketing, and marketing technology, I think differently. When I hear some bit of publishing or marketing orthodoxy, I wonder if it's really true.

I know all the standard rules and expectations. I've been in this industry for a long time, and I know how things work.

I also bring completely new ideas to the table. If you work with me, I'll help you find solutions you hadn't considered and warn you of snags you didn't know to look for. I'll bring benefits to your organization you won't expect.

My name is Greg Krehbiel. I solve technology, strategy, operations, and process problems for publishers and others. My expertise includes Customer Data Platforms, acquisition and retention, e-commerce, RFPs, fulfillment, and project management.

I have decades of experience in content creation, and have worked extensively on publishing and marketing operations, and in related technologies. I write a lot and often about publishing.

If you have a tech or operations opportunity (or challenge), it's very likely I can help you. My experience and interests are very broad, but here are a few specific areas where I may be able to lend a hand:

  • Customer Data Platforms — use cases, selection, configuration, and ongoing management and optimization
  • Writing RFPs and requirements documents
  • Landing page and other website and email A/B testing
  • Marketing automation
  • Marketing technology in general
  • Fulfillment issues and migrations
  • Documenting technical processes
  • Project management

The world is changing, and you need to adapt. I have proven ability and years of experience working with technical and non-technical people to get things done and effect change. Combine that with my creative problem-solving abilities and business experience, and I will add value to your organization in ways you won't expect.

I have …

  • Created a conference department from the ground up, increasing revenues to over $1 million per year.
  • Researched and then implemented a customer data platform resulting in better web segmentation for ads and content.
  • Built and customized WordPress sites, then integrated them with back-end entitlement systems.
  • Managed a large staff through the pandemic, quickly transitioned a large portion of the staff to remote work, maintained service levels for clients while optimizing internal headcount, and worked with IT and management staff to develop tools and methods to ensure remote staff was being productive.
  • Created and successfully marketed Thompson's Employee Handbook Builder, their first all-digital product for human resources professionals.
  • Created the product store for Kiplinger and managed all e-commerce operations.
  • Managed the Kiplinger email system and integrated it with our CDP and back-end customer databases.
  • Written white papers on tech topics.

And quite a lot more ….

Give me a call. At the very least I can provide an outside point of view.
