2006 ----Manager Mechanics LLC begins with the writing and publishing of the book Manager Mechanics: Tips and Advice for First-Time Managers. The goal of this book was to increase the chance of success for new managers. The "street smart and down-to-earth" approach of the book was extremely well received and spawned the idea for a series of general management & leadership classes.

In 2008/2009 we made the decision to offer full-service management training with a broad list of standard course offerings, training materials and delivery approaches. This allowed us to bring the value of these same critical, practical skills to new or soon-to-be managers through interactive teaching and blended learning.

During 2010, and with the further explosion of technology in all businesses, our clients were recognizing that the success of their IT department was often directly related to overall company success, competitive advantage and ultimately, profitability Soon it was apparent that Manager Mechanics' unique market niche was a focus on Information Technology (IT) management & leadership training, namely, teaching techies to be managers, based on our deep experience in IT management.

While we still offer foundation-type general management courses, these days, due to this client demand, Manager Mechanics focuses on the development and delivery of top-notch courses aimed squarely at the management and leadership training needs of Information Technology (IT) organizations and professionals.

We understand the unique challenges of managing IT. Most important--we understand how to teach staff to excel as managers in IT. Our classes are designed and written by a CIO-level executive with over twenty-five years of IT management experience. We combine the strength of our IT background with proprietary technology and blended learning to provide superior training in a choice of formats, as well as automated training needs assessments and online testing using our Survey Plus Platform, and one-on-one manager mentoring.

Also during 2010, we expanded our product line by offering business ethics classes such as Sexual Harassment Prevention, Managing Diversity, and Manager Ethics. In 2011, Manager Mechanics became the governing body of two IT management certifications, the ITMLP © and ITMLE ©, with senior-level executives from key business market sectors acting as a Board of Advisors. Today we provide more than twenty IT management related classes complete with interactive exercises and business cases, an impressive volume of training content and fully-developed curricula. We offer a variety of delivery vehicles including tradition classroom-based, self-paced eLearning, live webinar-based and avatar-based virtual world environments, both directly nad through a group of superior business partners.
