SPOC 2009
As people gear up for the opening of the new Star Trek movie and go where no one has gone before with a much younger Mr. Spock, self-publishers are looking forward to their own SPOC (minus the pointy ears). In this case, SPOC is the Self-Publishers Online Conference (SPOC), which is designed to connect entrepreneurial authors with publishing resources. At the conference, aspiring authors are encouraged to "Live Long and Publish!" This three-day virtual event features expert speakers and an online exhibit hall for book industry vendors on May 13, 14, and 15, 2009 Fifteen publishing experts will be on hand to offer tips and advice for both aspiring and veteran self-publishers. Speakers include:
Logical Expressions President Susan Daffron says, "Okay, we'll be honest here: all of us are total trekkies and when we realized the acronym for the Self-Publishers Online Conference (SPOC) would pay slight homage to our favorite Vulcan, we were thrilled. After all, "logical" is part of our company name. On a more serious note, we also realize that a lot of self-publishers simply can't afford the time or expense to go to an in-person event. We've brought together an amazing line-up of experts, so people can learn about publishing right from the comfort of their home or office" Attendees can register online at http://www.SelfPublishersOnlineConference.com. A free Basic attendance pass gives participants live call-in access to the teleseminars and a log in for the exhibit hall. Paid Standard and Premium passes offer access to the seminar recordings and a wide range of bonus materials About the Self-Publishers Online Conference About Logical Expressions, Inc Logical Expressions is book and software publishing company based in Sandpoint, Idaho that is owned by Susan Daffron and James Byrd.
