Ten new family trees have been added to the Web site FamilyTreeTemplates.net. The site now offers more than 40
family tree templates, blank ancestor charts and genealogy helpers designed to help hobbyists, schoolchildren and researchers trace and record their family history.
"The family trees are great for anyone who is tracing their family roots," said Kevin Savetz, who created the site in September 2008. "There are family trees and charts for kids, the casual home user and genealogy buffs."
The new
family tree templates include more three-, four- and five-generation family trees as well as a free-form unlabeled family tree, two trees with room for as many as eight siblings and a new version of the popular birth and adoptive
family tree with room for even more family members. Most of the new trees are in full color, with attractive graphics such as trees, birds and even an acorn theme.
The family trees can be instantly downloaded and printed for free as PDFs. There is also a premium, $4 .DOC version that can be edited in Microsoft Word. That way, the family tree can be neatly customized by typing names, vital statistics and other details into the pre-formatted templates.
Savetz said the new trees come thanks to requests from users of FamilyTreeTemplates.net. "Previously, I added even more trees for non-traditional families, as well as trees that include room for aunts, uncles and cousins. These newest trees feature room for more siblings, and there are also more tree graphics to choose from."
The categories on FamilyTreeTemplates.net include family trees with room for up to seven generations, family trees with and without graphics, family trees for kids, family trees with room for pictures, adoptive family trees and more.
"Summer is in full-swing, that means family reunions are coming up, along a great chance to gather and share family roots," Savetz said.
