New Free Printable Business Plans

Several business plan templates were recently added to BusinessPlanTemplate.net, at site that helps small business owners or entrepreneurs by offering free business plan templates.

By downloading and customizing the plans, prospective or existing business owners can put their thoughts and goals into words, outline budgets and more. Besides aiding in a smoother business launch or expansion, business plans are also helpful in pursuing funding in the form of bank loans or private investors.

"Most experts agree that having a written business plan is important," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "But it's not always easy to get started. The examples at BusinessPlanTemplate.com provide a jump start, and everything on the site is completely free."

Besides more than 30 sample business plans, the site has articles with tips on how to write a business plan, including what to avoid, the parts of a business plan, and types of business plans.

The templates include a sample one page business plan as well as multi-page plans with fill-in-the-blanks style writing prompts to jog the process. Several of the business plan examples are geared toward specific businesses or startups, such as a hotel, a bar or nightclub, a salon, a boutique, a gym, the music industry, a coffee shop, day care, and food production.

"Just type over the placeholder text to frame your own information in the best possible way to get yourself organized and lenders in your corner," Savetz said.

BusinessPlanTemplate.net also offers a variety of free forms often submitted with business plans, such as a balance sheet, startup capital calculator and projected income statement.

Once downloaded, the templates can be opened in Microsoft Word or another DOC-compatible program such as Google Docs. Then, users simply type over or fill in the existing text to customize business plan. The business forms are in both DOC and XLS format.

There are nearly 80 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
