Los Angeles Mass Disaster Attorneys Get Recognition

Six attorneys from the Los Angeles-based mass disaster law firm of Baum, Hedlund Aristei & Goldman have been chosen by their peers to be listed in the 2009 Southern California Super Lawyers® Rising Stars Edition and the 2009 Super Lawyers® Corporate Counsel Edition.
Ronald L. M. Goldman and John A. Greaves are listed in the Aviation section of the 2009 Super Lawyers® Corporate Counsel Edition. This publication is aimed at Corporate America executives who hire outside counsel. Attorneys Ilyas Akbari, Roger Drake, Bijan Esfandiari and Kate Gillespie are listed in this year's Super Lawyers® Rising Stars Edition. As an airline transport rated pilot and former Captain for Comair, John has flown over 10,000 hours total flight time since 1966 and over 3,000 hours as a Captain in Part 121 and Part 135 scheduled airline operations. Mr. Greaves has represented hundreds of airline accident victims in more than 35 airline disasters, representing clients in personal injury and wrongful death cases in virtually every major U.S. airline disaster in the last 15 years. Ilyas Akbari concentrates his practice on commercial transportation accidents resulting in catastrophic personal injury or wrongful death as well as pharmaceutical drug product liability and class action cases. He earned his B.S. in Bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego, in 2000 and his law degree at Southwestern University School of Law in 2003, where he served as President of the Student Bar Assn.
