On the 2nd anniversary of Michael Jackson's death, hip-hop artist Omekongo aka "Young M.A.Y.A. Angelou" ("Mighty African Youth Advocate") is releasing his first track off of his 8th album entitled "Bootleg 3." Omekongo has released poetry, hip-hop, and motivational albums, however, the goal of the "Bootleg" series of rap mixtapes is to show young people that they can sound like their favorite artist without swearing or disrespecting women. Says Omekongo: "Across the globe, i travel from prisons to private schools and everywhere in between speaking to youth with the 1,000,000 Youth Campaign. I am amazed that over 95% of these youth have never heard hip-hop that doesn't glorify sex, drugs, and violence. My goal is to show them that they can talk about the positive aspects of their lives and still make a living. It IS cool to be smart!"

The album features curse-free and misogyny-free remixes of songs by Jay-Z, Drake, 50 Cent, Waka Flocka Flame, Kanye West, and others. Feeling that the hip-hop community did not pay adequate respect to Michael in his passing, Omekongo remixed MJ's classic song "Human Nature" and recorded a moving tribute. Says Omekongo: "MJ was more than a musician. At the end of the day, he was a staunch humanitarian. He made music to heal the world and that's what many artists across all genres fail to do in their quest for money. We as artists should learn from his example."
