Charron Walker
Charron Walker

Charron Walker, a breast cancer survivor, is being honored by The Victorious Woman Project this month for her work with the Young Survivors Network (YSN) which she founded in 2005. YSN understands the special needs of young women with breast cancer and is dedicated to supporting those needs. Nearly ten years ago, Charron was one of them.

Until October 2006, Charron Walker saw her self as an up-and-comer. She was a single, thirty-two year old woman with a good education, a great job and a fabulous future. That's when she found the lump while doing a breast self-exam; she was later diagnosed with Stage One breast cancer. Charron's mother was only thirty-four when she died of breast cancer; Charron thought she'd been given a death sentence.
