The struggle between managers and engineers is legendary. Each group seems to have different priorities, different goals, different perspectives on how to best get work done. There are times when people on both sides wonder if the other is speaking the same language.
The fact is, they are not.
On Dec 9th at CMG '09 in Dallas, noted consultant and psychology professor Stephen Balzac will present, "The Bilingual Advantage: Improving Team Performance by Speaking Manager and Engineer." The talk will focus on how managers and engineers see the world differently, how they communicate differently, and how each party can most effectively learn the others' language.

Stephen R. Balzac, "The Business Sensei," is a professional speaker and consultant. He is the president of 7 Steps Ahead, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in helping businesses increase revenue and build their client base.
Steve has over twenty years of experience in the high tech industry and is the former Director of Operations for Silicon Genetics, in Redwood City, CA, where he was responsible for shipping their flagship product.
