What do we love about the HR Tech Conference? The conversation.
The conversation started weeks ago but really ramped up yesterday when Steve Boese encouraged attendees to make a connection with someone at their table who they didn?t already know.
In his opening keynote, Andrew McAfee stressed the importance of engaging ?outsiders? in the conversation in order to gain new, valuable insights.
In the Expo, at our O.C. Tanner booth (1747) and at the Tanner Labs booth (801), we?ve been engaging in conversations about how to use technology to reward, recognize and appreciate employees, as well as inspire corporate wellness.
In breakout sessions, we heard the message loud and clear: interact and converse with potential talent in a way that meets their digital expectations.
We were reminded of the importance of internal conversations as well. Conversations between IT and HR. Between HR and Marketing. And, of course, between HR and the business.
And don?t forget about data. Data is a critical part of the HR conversation. It?s what helps us identify and socialize our talent strategy.
The HR Tech Conference isn?t limited to the four walls of the Mandalay Bay. The conversation isn?t even contained to Las Vegas city limits. Each day the conversation is rapidly extending into the ether. HR Marketer reports there have been more than 31,000 tweets (and counting!) using #HRTechConf since the conference began Tuesday afternoon.
Jason Averbook captured the crux of the conversations we heard in yesterday?s sessions:

Instead of racing against the machine, use the conversations at the HR Tech Conference to embrace the moment and engage with peers. (It?s not every day we get to hang out with so many people who are passionate about HR Tech!)
The other thing we love about the HR Tech Conference? Once it?s over, we?re all better prepared to more effectively use technology to help talent thrive in our organizations. As we heard Averbrook say in a session today, at the end of the day, talent wins.
Stop by our O.C. Tanner booth (1747) or our Tanner Labs booth (801) and have a conversation with us today. We’d love to talk to you.
