weekly_tips_content_size_4There?s an old saying: ?hindsight is 20/20.? But does the past dictate the future?

Born to working-class parents, one young boy learned the value of a strong work ethic at an early age. To help make ends meet, he and his brothers and sisters were expected to work in a factory eight hours a day while also attending school. Still, it wasn?t enough to save the family’s home. Eventually, the family was forced into living out of a camper van.

Without an address, it?s hard to find a job. Without money, it?s hard to fund an education. And with little support, and no direct role models, it?s hard to envision a dream, especially when your dream is to become a stand-up comedian.

Nevertheless, Jim Carrey decided he?d had enough of his negative history and took a shot at his future. He began performing celebrity impressions at small clubs. His passion drove him. His talent carried him. And his future is now comedic history.

What doesn?t the world expect from you? Is it your passion? Make a commitment to step out on your stage for the first time.
