Thanksgiving Creative Food Idea: Green Beans with Goat Cheese and Walnuts


Try this healthy swap in place of the usual green bean casserole for Thanksgiving—it takes just a few minutes to prepare and is sure to please the whole family!

Personal Trainer Food Ingredients:
1-2 bags of Green Beans

Additional Ingredients:
1 oz Goat cheese, crumbled
2-3 tbsp Chopped walnuts
Salt & Pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat Green Beans in the microwave. Once heated, remove from bag and place in a bowl.

  2. Add goat cheese, chopped walnuts, salt and pepper and toss together. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Optional:
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute diced shallots or onions until softened and translucent. Add green beans and saute just until heated through. Add to bowl and toss with goat cheese, chopped walnuts, and salt and pepper.
