Superstar singer Taylor Swift has donated an autographed CD to Shoe Revolt, a nonprofit fighting sex trafficking in the United States. The CD will be given away as reward for a Facebook contest the nonprofit is holding. The Facebook competition will begin December 16 and last until December 23.

Shoe Revolt takes donations of new or (gently) used shoes and sells them via an online boutique. All proceeds raised from shoe sales goes directly to programs that support survivors of sex trafficking.

Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989 in Pennsylvania, and grew up on a Christmas tree farm. Swift learned to play the guitar at the age of ten, which sparked her interest in music and eventually led to an extremely successful career. She released her first debut single, Tim McGraw in 2006. That same year, she released her self-titled debut album, which was certified multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Swift's second album, released in 2008, earned her four Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. Among many successes since the launch of her career, Swift was named woman of the year by Billboard in 2011. The young singer has gotten involved in many philanthropic efforts; she donated all of her proceeds from merchandise sales at the 2008 Country Music Festival to the Nashville Area Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and the National American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. In 2011, Taylor Swift changed what was supposed to be a final dress rehearsal for her Speak Now tour to a benefit concert for victims of recent tornadoes in the United States. The concert drew more than 13,000 fans and raised over $750,000.
