Consumers seeking to learn more about short-term care insurance options are being encouraged to solicit answers from one of the nation's foremost experts in the growing field.

"We are pleased to invite consumers who have questions to connect and get the information and answers they need," states Jesse Slome, director of the National Advisory Center for Short-Term Care Information.  The Center was created to create broader awareness and understanding for the value offered by short-term care insurance policies also referred to as recovery care insurance.

"Consumers are hearing that there are options available for those wanting to undertake long-term care planning, but they don't know where to turn," Slome acknowledges.  "We've been informally answering questions but now we are going to do this in a more formal and systematic manner."

Slome, who founded the organization, noted he would personally answer any consumer questions and compile questions that will subsequently be posted on the organization's website.

"We want consumers seeking information to have one easy to use resource," Slome adds.  To learn more visit the Center's website at www.shorttermcareinsurance.org or call 818-597-3205.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, the National Advisory Center for Short-Term Care Information works to educate both consumers and insurance professionals.  Together with the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance, the organization plans to hold the first national industry conference for the growing short-term care insurance industry.

The American Association for Long Term Care Insurance (www.aaltci.org) is the national trade organization focused on educating individuals about the importance of planning for the risk of long term care.  The American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance (www.medicaresupp.org( focuses on Medigap industry issues and helps link consumers with Medicare Supplement agents.  The National Advisory Center for Short Term Care was established in 2015 to build awareness for the important role short term care insurance plays in protecting seniors.
