FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Portland, Oregon (10.28.11) – Sarah Clarke has answered Shoe Revolt's question, "What shoes do you have to kick sex trafficking to the curb?"

Sarah Clarke donated a pair of Adria Caras kitten heels from her personal closet to Shoe Revolt, an Oregon nonprofit that fights commercial sex trafficking in the U.S. through shoes. The pair is on sale now for $250.00 – a steal for these stylish, autographed heels!

Clarke was born in St. Louis, Missouri and began her career as a photographer. She tried out the dramatic arts and discovered that she had a true gift and belonged in front of the camera, not behind it. She moved to New York and studied the arts, gradually making her way into the film industry. She kicked off her career with a short film that won her an award at the Boston Film Festival, and followed with appearances on hit television shows such as House, Sex and the City, and Ed. She played in feature films such as Thirteen and Twilight. Clarke is most well known for her recurring role on 24 opposite Kiefer Sutherland.

Shoe Revolt takes donations of shoes and sells them on their online boutique to raise funds for programs that support survivors of commercial sex trafficking. The executive director of one of those programs, Vashti's Voice, explains what having Shoe Revolt's support means, "I am excited and grateful that Shoe Revolt is raising funds for our program. I think people need to be aware that this crime is happening in every neighborhood, not just those in less affluent areas. People tend to feel disconnected and unmoved because they do not acknowledge the presence of this crime in their own domains."
