New York, NY: August 25, 2026. Author C.L. Bennett has launched a new series of short romance stories written for gay and lesbian women. The series is called Quick Connections: A Sapphic Romance Series. It will include ten short, standalone love stories, each one built around the way that LGBTQ+ women meet each other today, such as running clubs, book clubs, and community gardens, instead of bars.

The first book in the series, Pace Yourself, is out now. It follows a recently divorced nurse who joins a Tuesday night running club to clear her head. Instead, she finds herself racing every week against the club's newest member, a quiet firefighter who is still guarded after a bad breakup of her own. Their friendly rivalry on the trail slowly turns into something neither woman expected.

Pace Yourself is available now on Kindle in both e-book and audiobook formats for $3.99, and is also included with a Kindle subscription.

"I wanted to write short stories that any woman could pick up on a busy day and finish in one sitting," said C.L. Bennett, author of the series. "These are sweet stories about real connection, not drama for its own sake."

About the Series

Each book in the Quick Connections series stands on its own and takes about an hour to read. Future books will follow other couples meeting through sober support meetups, softball leagues, bowling leagues, hiking groups, board game nights, farmers markets, and book clubs. New books in the series will be released throughout the year.
