Passing of former Region 12 Regional Administrative Assistant Raymond McDonald, Jr.

NALC is deeply saddened to learn that Raymond McDonald, Jr. died on Feb. 6. He was 69.

Brother McDonald was a member of Princeton, NJ Branch 268 for 41 years. Raymond, a U.S. Air Force veteran, became a letter carrier after being honorably discharged. Throughout his career, he demonstrated his commitment to his branch as a leader and activist. Raymond became a shop steward shortly after becoming a letter carrier and eventually served as vice president and president of his branch. From 2007 to 2015, he also served as a regional administrative assistant for Region 12.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Carol, and son, Ryan.

“On behalf of NALC, we are grateful for Brother McDonald’s years of service to Branch 268 and Region 12,” NALC President Brian L. Renfroe said. “Ray was a great leader and friend. He will be greatly missed, and we send our deepest sympathies to his family, friends and colleagues.”
