On Tuesday April 2nd, Omekongo will be the featured performer at the Library of Congress African Poets & Writers Series. This series  consists of a set of live web-cast interviews with current African diaspora writers committed to the literature of continental and diasporic Africa (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, literary criticism), and readings from their written works. Past featured guests have included the late Chinua Achebe and Professor Ali Mazrui.

Omekongo will be sharing selected poems from his book: From the Limbs of my Poetree, a trilingual (English, French, & Swahili) book of poetry.
