The pet sympathy cards are seeded, 100% recycled handmade paper with an original woodcut design by Darian Goldin Stahl.

Twisted Limb® Paperworks, specializing in 100% recycled handmade paper since 1998 now offers their newest product alongside invitations and greeting cards: Remembrance Tree® Papers Pet Sympathy Cards. The Remembrance Tree® brand was created in 2007 to provide custom memorial stationery for the immediate family to use at funeral services. The new sympathy cards, including pet sympathy, allow friends and family to express concern for those experiencing loss.

At Twisted Limb the love of animals runs as deep as their love for the environment. The company knows a pet becomes a cherished family member whose loss can be terrible– part of its own business family includes the shop greeter and owner Sheryl Woodhouse-Keese's dog, Reni. In honor of this understanding Twisted Limb has created the Remembrance Tree® Papers Pet Sympathy Cards.

For every card sold, a tree will be planted in honor of the deceased pet. Each tree is planted in memorial of an ended life but it also is the start of a new one. The positive environmental and social impact of these trees offers hope and comfort both for those mourning a beloved cat or dog and the communities where the trees are planted.

This is possible when working through the organization Trees for the Future, where a small donation equates to a planted tree in a developing country. These trees are beneficial not only to the environment but also to the livelihood of communities near them. Planting trees in areas where deforestation has occurred offers benefits such as food, forage for animals, sustainable fuel wood and construction materials, and protection of soils from wind and water erosion. Remembrance Tree® Papers' trees are planted in Haiti, where years of intensive logging, unsound agricultural policy, and rapid population growth has left only 2% of the land forested.

The cards themselves bear an original woodcut design by Darian Goldin Stahl featuring paw-prints on a path leading into woods. These pieces are made from the company's 100% recycled handmade seeded paper so that the receiver can plant the card and grow a small wildflower garden as an additional, beautiful memorial for the lost pet. The staff at Twisted Limb Paperworks hopes that the special properties of these cards will give additional condolences and comfort to the recipients.

Custom pet sympathy cards are available for veterinarian offices and Humane Associations to express sympathy for client's pets and to express thanks for memorials donations.
