Fresh start
Just as school children have a fresh start, why not give yourself one ? Decide to purge – clean out what you do not need.
Eileen Roth, a national speaker and the author of Organizing For Dummies® offers these tips:
Finding the time might be as simple as ABC – clear clutter when children are in school. If you work too, find time in the evening while children do their homework.
First, purge what you do not need.
Ask yourself the five W.A.S.T.E.™ questions –
W – Is it Worthwhile?
A – Will I use it Again?
S - Can I easily find it Somewhere else?
T – Will anything happen if I Toss it?
E – Do I need the Entire item?
Next determine what to do with each item:
-If it is broken, toss it in the trash.
-If it is useable, donate it to a charity or have a charity pick it up at your house.
-If you want some money, have a garage sale or give it to a consignment shop.
Remove excess items from your home and have your own fresh start.
