Lea Michele Shoes Being Auctioned Off for a Good Cause

Lea Michele donated a pair of (size seven) Kimchi Blue red flats from her personal closet to Shoe Revolt, an Oregon nonprofit that fights commercial sex trafficking through shoes.

Lea Michele Sarfati was born in the Bronx, New York and raised in Tenafly, New Jersey. Lea got her start on Broadway in the production of Les Miserables. At eight years old, she went with a friend to an audition, decided to try out, and was offered the role. Lea appeared in several Broadway shows until she was in her early twenties. She was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for her performance in Spring Awakening, for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. Michele starred in the show for two years before exploring more career opportunities. In 2009, Lea landed the role of "Rachel Berry" on the FOX hit Glee. For her performance on the show, Lea received the 2009 Satellite Award for Best Actress in a Series, Comedy or Musical. She also wan a Screen Actors Guild Award for Glee. Lea has also received Golden Globe, Emmy, and Teen Choice Award nominations.
