On Thursday, July 22, I had the exciting experience of being a part of a large audience, at the Third Ward Park in Passaic, NJ, attending a 90-minute concert by the legendary Polish musician, Jimmy Sturr.  I was overwhelmed with how he revealed by having his musicians play modern arrangements of great classical composers, and being Polish on my father’s side, the Polish music was exciting.   His piece de resistance was to climax his evening by having the entire audience of almost 1,000 people join the band by signing Irving Berlin’s God Bless America.  It was one of the most moving experiences I’ve seen in recent show business.
