FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Portland, Oregon (10.27.11) – Ken Baumann has answered Shoe Revolt's question, "What shoes do you have that kick sex trafficking to the curb?"
Actor Ken Baumann donated a pair of white Converse sneakers from his personal closet to Shoe Revolt, an Oregon nonprofit that fights commercial sex trafficking in the U.S. through shoes. The pair is on sale now for $100.00 – a steal for these cool, autographed sneakers!
Baumann was born in Urbana, Illinois and grew up in Abilene, Texas. Ken has been acting since he was just eleven years old, in both New York and Texas. When he was fourteen, he moved to Los Angeles and was immediately discovered. He landed his first role in a pilot for Fox alongside Alan Ruck and Kristen Johnson. Baumann recently shot the (unrated) movie Spring Break '83 alongside John Goodman, Jamie Kennedy, and Joe Pantoliano. He is currently starring in ABC Family's hit series, The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
Shoe Revolt takes donations of shoes and sells them on their online boutique to raise funds for programs that support survivors of commercial sex trafficking. The executive director of one of those programs, Mission 21, explains what having Shoe Revolt's support means, "This is such an easy way for people to do something small that makes such a HUGE difference. It's something everyone can feel good and proud about. I know that this is where I'll be shopping for shoes from now on." To learn about Mission 21, and other programs Shoe Revolt supports, visit
