Joellyn 'Joey' Sargent Spends An Inspiring Weekend At Girl Scout Camp

Principal of Claravon Consulting Group participated in mentoring program  to develop tomorrow's female leaders

July 23, 2013 - Mableton, Georgia – Camp Pine Acres, a 200 acre Girl Scout Camp in Acworth, GA on beautiful Lake Allatoona, recently served as an inspiring venue for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta to connect teen girls with influential role models. Girl Scout Camp is not the expected setting for 30 high-powered women executives, but Joellyn 'Joey' Sargent and other Atlanta-based businesswomen gathered there from May 28-31, leaving BlackBerries and iPhones behind to share life lessons with Girl Scouts from grades 9-12.

This four day camping experience and leadership development program was the fourth annual Camp CEO event. Offered by Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, the program invites high-achieving girls to team up with executives like Sargent, principal of Claravon Consulting Group.

"I had such an incredible time at Camp CEO," says Sargent. "Connecting with the teens in this unique way provided me with an inspiring opportunity to help light the path for the next generation of female leaders."

Sargent was selected as a role model and mentor for the 2013 session of Camp CEO by Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta not only because of her history as a successful female executive, but also because she has led a life of significance with extensive contributions to the community.
