FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (NewsReleaseWire) January 11, 2009 -- In an ongoing effort to help consumers learn about nutrition and make positive dietary choices for better health, nutritional researcher and award-winning author Diana Hunter has declared January 11th National FoodSmart Day.
Hunter, who is currently on national tour with her latest title, FoodSmart: Understanding Nutrition in the 21st Century, selected January 11th as a start-of-the-year date to help people re-focus on their eating habits and overall nutrition each year. Known for educating adults and children about diet and health in a fun and interesting manner, Hunter's goal is to take the mystery out of nutrition and help people use it to their advantage. She is, in her own words, "on a mission to help people live better lives through nutrition. "
Hunter is scheduled to make appearances across the nation through December 2010 as part of her "Be FoodSmart" tour. For more information and appearance dates and times visit FoodSmart.org.
