Interview Click Offers Free Access to Journalists' Questions and Experts' Answers

WASHINGTON — A new online platform is offering journalists and subject-matter experts a free way to connect, share information and engage in real-time question-and-answer exchanges.

Interview Click, a service of Broadcast Interview Source Inc., allows journalists to post questions at no cost and enables qualified experts to respond publicly or privately. The platform creates a searchable archive of questions and answers that can be accessed without charge.

PRWeek has described the service as "a dating service for PR."

Unlike traditional media query services that distribute long lists of questions via email, Interview Click allows users to search by topic, keyword or organization name. Users can also review answers submitted by other experts, providing insight into how sources respond to media inquiries.

Company representatives said the service is designed to simplify the process of connecting journalists with knowledgeable sources while increasing visibility for experts.

Public responses are indexed for search visibility and may be distributed to platforms such as Google News and LexisNexis. Paid members can also use a cloaked system for private, direct communication with journalists.

Experts, authors and spokespersons can create free press rooms through ExpertClick.com, a related service that has been described as a "hot site" by USA Today. Public speakers may also create profiles through SpeakerBank.com, part of the International Platform Association, founded in 1831 by Daniel Webster.

Nonprofit organizations may qualify for discounted membership in News Council, a private platform for 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations.

Association Trends said the service "will make your group the central point for quotes & interviews."

Interview Click is part of Broadcast Interview Source Inc., publisher of the Yearbook of Experts, Authorities & Spokespersons. First introduced in 1984 as the Talk Show Guest Directory, the publication has been used by journalists including Larry King, Paul Harvey, Rush Limbaugh and Walter Cronkite.

The New York Times has referred to the service as "Dial-an-Expert," and it has been featured in The New Yorker's "Talk of the Town."

Larry King said the directory was "something every talk show producer must have."

Free registration is available for both journalists and experts at www.InterviewClick.com and www.ExpertClick.com/FREE.
