December is here again! How did that happen? I hope you’ll be enjoying the end-of-year holidays with your friends and family, especially if you’re still single. And before we know it, the New Year will be upon us. This is when droves of singles will jump online to find love again in the New Year!

Perhaps you’re looking to find love again too! I highly recommend you put the time and focus on doing so at this time.

Many of my successfully coupled clients have met their partners and spouses at this time of year, whether in their 30s or their 60s and beyond!

What does it take to find true love this time around?

Here are my 5 tips and strategies that work best for my clients. They use these exact tips and strategies to meet great people and find love again.

  1. Revisit what you want for your life and what characteristics represent your ideal life partner.

We’re a different person each year and we keep changing. It’s a good practice to think about what you truly want for your life as a whole and how a relationship can fit into that life. This find-love-again step is the critical first one – knowing what you want.

  2. Make sure you’re online by January 1!

It’s the busiest day online! What do you need to do to prepare for this day?  Choose another site? Spiff up your photos? Update your information and essays? Add some relevant information that will invite the right person to reach out to you?

In other words, you want to make sure your profile authentically represents you and that the people on the sites you’re on are the ones you want to meet.

  3. Create a Vision Board for the coming year.

What we visualize is what we attract into our lives. We are calling forth what we desire. What will you put on your vision board? What pictures, colors, and words represent your ideal life? You get to create it. And it will be there for you as a reminder of what you truly want for your life.

  4. Share with the “Connectors” in your life that you’re putting focus on finding a life partner.

Your friends and family who love and appreciate you are one of the best resources for you to get an introduction to another relationship-focused person. Don’t be afraid to ask. Your fans want to help you find that person and see you happy!

  5. Seek out activities and events where other singles will be.

Find age-appropriate activities where you’ll meet other singles. There will be those who are also seeking life partners. This can be a get-together for singles, a speed dating event, or activities organized specifically for singles.

I met my husband at an activity for a bicycling group for professionals in their 30s – 40s. There are co-ed bowling, gaming, improv, and theatre groups! You choose the right place for you to find new love.

PRO TIP: Be sure there are an equal number of men and women!

The New Year brings hope for renewal and new possibilities. The same holds for getting out there again to find new love. I can help you craft a personalized dating plan that will help you refine what you’ve been doing and point you toward your true love partner.

As my song says, “Never give up on love”!

I raise my virtual glass to you and toast, “Here’s to finding love again in the New Year!”

Let’s do this together!
